- Can you briefly present us your team? What’s your story and what drives you?
Our collective journey in the XR2Learn project with our XR4HRC sub-project is a shared endeavor, bringing together the diverse yet complementary strengths of LTG, IFARLAB, and BEST. It’s a story of unity, learning, and mutual growth.
Lider Teknoloji Gelistirme (LTG) is an SME focusing on R&D activities, software development and immersive technologies. LTG is actively developing simulators for flight training, and we have experience in several other technology domains such as IoT, sensor systems, and embedded system development. Our experience in IoToPro and DEM-SaCROS projects and our interest in developing training simulations led us to be part of XR2Learn with our valuable partners IFARLAB and BEST.
IFARLAB, situated within the academic environment of Eskisehir Osmangazi University, brings a scholarly perspective to our collaboration. Our team, though small, is deeply passionate about bridging the gap between academic research and real-world applications. Our involvement in XR2Learn feels like a natural step in our quest to explore new educational technologies and methodologies. The laboratory is not just a space for research; it’s a place where ideas meet reality, equipped with advanced tools like AGVs and robotic arms to foster innovation.
BEST adds a vital human dimension to our consortium. With a modest yet dedicated team, we focus on enriching the learning experience for thousands of learners each year. Our expertise is drawn from hands-on experience in educational projects, both at home and abroad. We believe in the power of education to change lives and are committed to providing quality learning experiences.
In coming together for the XR2Learn project, our story is one of collaboration, humility, and a shared desire to make a difference in the world of education. - In simple words, what is your project about and how is it linked with XR2Learn?
The XR4HRC Project focuses on creating immersive XR education and training solutions tailored for individuals entering roles involving robotic quality control systems in industrial settings. Our goal is to offer a simulated factory environment enriched with realistic robotic presence and comprehensive training in occupational health and safety procedures. Additionally, we incorporate remote examination and evaluation methods to enhance the learning experience. By aligning with XR2Learn, XR4HRC is dedicated to equipping today’s learners with tomorrow’s technology, preparing them to excel as future professionals in their field.
- How did you come up with this project idea and what benefits will it bring to the end users?
The project idea was sparked by the evolving demands of industrial training and the potential of immersive technologies. Leveraging Lider Teknoloji Gelistirme’s (LTG) expertise in training simulators and augmented reality, IFARLAB’s capabilities in robotics and AI, and BEST’s extensive experience in adult education, we aim to revolutionize industrial training. This collaboration enables us to create immersive, interactive training experiences that are more engaging and effective for learners.
The benefits for end users include enhanced skill acquisition through realistic simulations, improved understanding of complex machinery via digital twins and AR, and better preparation for the technological demands of modern workplaces. This approach not only makes learning more relevant and impactful but also prepares the workforce for future industry challenges, improving employability and productivity. Essentially, our consortium is setting new standards for vocational training, aligning it closely with Industry 4.0’s advancements.

This includes seeking guidance on refining our solutions to ensure they meet industry standards and learner needs effectively.
